This easy Kalamata olive hummus is a flavorful twist on classic hummus. The addition of briny kalamata olives adds depth and richness to the creamy chickpea base. Perfect for dipping or spreading on sandwiches!
Ingredients:
- 1 can 15 oz chickpeas, drained and rinsed
- 1/4 cup tahini
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup chopped kalamata olives
- 2 tablespoons water adjust for desired consistency
Instructions:
In a food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, and salt
Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed
Add water gradually until desired consistency is reached
Transfer hummus to a serving bowl and fold in chopped kalamata olives
Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil and additional chopped olives if desired
Serve with pita bread, crackers, or vegetable sticks
